Hi everyone. It's me Mia.

Well another busy week here at Black Dog Rescue Ranch.  Ms. Charlene brought home another horse.  Actually Dixie used to live here, but since the people that adopted her cannot take care of her anymore Ms. Charlene went and got her and now she is back living at the ranch.
I think she is pretty happy about being back here and we wanted to give her a big warm welcome!

Ms. Charlene got to go horseback riding on her new horse this week-end and then later visit with some old friends and that always makes her really happy.  Ms. Charlene says what is important in this life is spending time with Best Friends. She says we ALL need Best Friends because Friendship and Love is what makes the world go around!

Stories From Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.

Boy has this week started out to be exciting!  Betty and Willa found a hole in the fence!   There was a small hole in the fence down by the gate and after pushing on it for awhile Willa got through it and of course Betty had to follow. You know sisters do tend to stick together through thick and thin....not that either one of them are very thin!  Well anyway, Molly and I had to follow too since they were getting out we wanted to see what was on the other side. All the trouble started when Teddie and Mickey discovered they were too big to fit through the hole they had a barking fit about four o'clock this morning.

Well that woke up Ms. Charlene and I don't have to tell you that she was not very happy about it either.  After she got us back inside the fence she got some wire and tools from the shed and patched the fence right then and there. Ms. Charlene didn't yell and she would never hit us, she loves us to much for that, but we sure could tell she was not happy so we all went back to our doghouses and never made a sound the rest of the night!

Hey dogs will be dogs and sometimes we just can't resist doing dog things.

Ms. Charlene had a book signing this past week-end and she said it was so good to see old friends again.  They came out to support the ranch and buy some of our books and Ms. Charlene had a great time visiting too! She says that is what is important in this life, lending a helping hand and keeping those whom you care about close!

Stories From Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.

Well this past week-end was great weather and we have started digging in the yard again! You can see all the dirt on my nose. Ms. Charlene doesn't like us digging big holes in the yard, but she says since she can't catch us digging the holes she will just keep filling up the holes!  We kind of feel bad about it, but we can't help ourselves; we are dogs you know.

Ms. Charlene got to ride her horse Precious this week-end too and that always makes her happy!

Some kids got to come out to the farm Saturday and visit with the pony and the new puppies! They had a great time and I don't think they wanted to leave either. Ms. Charlene says that is what it's all about; Kids and Animals!

We all had a great time and look forward to more visits in the future.
