Mia and the Black Dog Ranch Gang

Hi everyone, boy it's been about a year, huh? Lots of things happening, but we are all still hanging in there and doing great. Precious got really sick this past winter and that's what Ms. Charlene has been doing with most of her time and now she is doing really good again. Ms. Charlene said she was a spitfire cause she tried to buck Ms. Charlene off. We all ran around the fence chasing them as they ran through the field so we thought it was really funny.

It sure is great to see spring roll in. we love rolling in the new grass and digging holes in the soft dirt. Yep not much has changed.

Well guess I better go for now, talk more soon,  Mia

Stories from Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hey everyone, it's me Mia. Boy roll on those lazy crazy days of summer! We've been gone for awhile, but we're back now.
Teddie and Micky are playing in the fresh cut grass and well it just feels good.

Things are going great here at the ranch and Ms. Charlene has been busy doing what she does best, rescuing animals. This picture is of Rinny, (short for Rin-Tin-Tin). Ms. Charlene and her friends found him a few weeks ago while they were horseback riding and Ms. Charlene went back after their ride and brought Rinny home. He's at a new foster home until he is finished with the doctor visits and then he is going to his new home! A great family with two boys have adopted him. They are so excited about getting a dog to play with on the farm and we know Rinny will make a wonderful and loyal friend!

Stories from Black Dog Ranch - Mia and her gang is Back!

Wow, it is a whole new year and we are back to blogging finally. Ms. Charlene says she has had a tough time this past year, but with a new job, new friends in her life that things can only get better!
We had a great holiday season and some really nice people that Ms. Charlene works with gave us really good treats and food to eat.

I had to keep an eye on Mickey and Teddie because they kept trying to steal all the bones and treats out of the basket! Boys can be soooo selfish, huh?

Well Ms. Charlene is looking forward to this new year also because she has a new horse that she is sending to training and then taking on a lot of trail rides! She has even joined a new saddle club and they have lots of plans too!

I better go for now,

Stories from Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

 Hi everyone, It's me Mia.

Sorry we haven't been here in a couple of weeks.  Ms. Charlene is still trying to find a job and things are pretty hectic around here.
Ms. Charlene says it is by the grace of God that we are all still doing well and have food on the table. She says we all must have a guardian angel watching out for us.

We all don't really know what that means, but it must
mean something special because we are all pretty
happy and healthy critters here at Black Dog Rescue
Ranch.

Some really nice people are going to help us help Smokey get treatments for his sore leg and Ms. Charlene says that is a miracle all on its own right there! We are very grateful to those who reach out to help us give others a second chance at happiness!

Well I better go for now, don't forget to order a copy of our book, "Stories from Black Dog Ranch".  All proceeds go to support our rescue ranch! http://www.blackdogrescueranch.com/

Stories from Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.

The weather's finally cooled off around here and we have been enjoying just laying around in the yard.
Teddie thinks he is as pretty as this flower bush so he picked that spot for Ms. Charlene to take his picture! We all think Teddie is just a silly boy!
Ms. Charlene has been enjoying the weather too because she has got to go on a few trail rides lately and that always makes her happy.
We really don't see what the big deal is about those horses, but if it makes Ms. Charlene happy then we're happy.
Well don't forget to stop by our website and order a copy of our book, "Stories from Black Dog Ranch". Remember, all proceeds go to support our rescue ranch!

Stories From Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hey everyone, It's me Mia.

Sorry it's been a couple of weeks since I've been here, but Ms. Charlene has been busy looking for work and I can't type with my big fuzzy paws!

Things are about the same. It's still really hot here at the ranch and we are all trying to take it easy and stay cool.
Teddie and Mickey take it easy everyday so I guess it's not really anything new for them. Ms. Charlene has been looking for a job since she got laid off so if anyone needs a good book, please order one because it's the only way to support the ranch right now.
We are keeping the faith though and looking for better times ahead for us here at Black Dog Rescue Ranch.
Please remember to order a book, http://www.blackdogrescueranch.com/

Stories From Black Dog Ranch - Mia and the Gang

Hi everyone. It's me Mia.
Sorry I haven't been here in a week or two. We have been busy here at the ranch and Ms. Charlene has been going to the city to work a little.
It is still really hot down here on the farm, but Teddie and Mickey don't seem to mind to much.  All they want to do is play play play. Silly boys!

Ms. Charlene said that the Central States Horseman Magazine did an article on us and our book so if you get the chance, pick up a copy and check out the story they did on us. She said they put a lot of really good pictures of us in there too!
The hores have been getting sprayed off with the garden hose each evening.  Ms. Charlene says it's a good way of cooling them down and they don't seem to mind it at all. They stand in line waiting for their turn to get sprinkled.  It's funny to watch them close their eyes and turn their ears sideways!  I guess horses are silly too.
Well don't forget to stop by our website and pick up a copy of our book, "Storie From Black Dog Ranch".  All proceeds go to support the rescue ranch! http://www.blackdogrescueranch.com/
