Hello From Mia and the Gang
Well another week has gone by and we are all doing fine here at the ranch. I heard Ms. Charlene talking to a nice lady the other day about sending me to dog school. She's suppose to teach me how to go for rides in the truck and not be so nervous. Well that makes me nervous. I just don't think I need to go to dog school so I told Teddie that maybe he should do it instead of me. Ms. Charlene thought that was such a good idea that now Teddie and I both have to go to dog school. Teddie is mad at me for getting him into this whole dog school thing.
Ms. Charlene said that everyone she meets at the book signings want to meet us and I really would love to meet all of those wonderful people and give them a big kiss right in the lips, but I just wish the truck wasn't so scary.
I'm a good farm dog though, I caught a mole this week and took it up to the front porch for Ms. Charlene to see. She sure did jump around a lot and when she finally was able to catch her breath and scream really loud we all took off to the barn! I guess Ms. Charlene didn't think the mole was as cool as my brothers and sisters did......
Talk more soon,
Mia

Hello From Mia and the Black Dog Ranch Gang
Hi Everyone, wow it has been a very busy week! Ms. Charlene said the TV interview with Jennifer Blome from KSDK Channel 5 went great (Jennifer is awesome cause she loves dogs too!) and the book signing on Saturday went great. Ms. Charlene said she got to meet lots of really nice people and talk to them about their own wonderful pets.
Ms. Charlene also got to talk to the wonderful people at Animal Talk Naturally Radio, Dr. Jeannie Thomason and Dr. Kim Bloomer today. They are veterinarians (I'm kind of afraid of doctors, it makes my ears tremble when I have to go see them), but Ms. Charlene assured me that Dr. Kim and Dr. Jeannie are very nice and care a great deal about all of us and our well being. If you get a chance, go check out their website and in the near future we will have some of their shows on our website for all of you animal lovers out there to purchase.
Also, I have kind of a boyfriend now, his name is Hudson and he is a really handsome Boxer. He has his own website too and I want you all to go check it out.
http://hudson-imkindofabigdeal.blogspot.com His Mom is a huge supporter of all the rescue dogs out there so stop by and tell them how much you appreciate their efforts!
Well I better go for now, talk more soon,
Mia

Hello from Mia and Black Dog Ranch
Well another week has gone by and it's still very cold here in southeastern Missouri. We are all doing fine and Ms. Charlene has handed out extra cookies and biscuits to help keep us warm. We are going to have a lot of cool stuff going on this coming week. MS. CHARLENE (KRISTIE C. JONES) IS GOING TO BE ON CHANNEL 5 KSDK TV in St. Louis Friday, January 30th at 12:00 noon to talk to Jennifer Blome about our book "Stories From Black Dog Ranch". Then the very next day on Saturday, January 31st from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. Ms. Charlene will be at the IMPERIAL SEED & FEED STORE in Imperial, Missouri to sell and sign copies of our book.
We hope all of you will come out on Saturday to the book signing because Ms. Charlene (Kristie) would love to see everyone and tell you all about me and my brothers and sisters here back at the ranch.
I better go for now, hope you tune in Friday for the TV show and come to the Book Signing on Saturday!

Hello from Mia
Hi everyone, well it's been a very busy week. Ms. Charlene has spent a lot of time making sure everyone stays warm here at the ranch. We had our first snow of the year and Ms. Charlene was so worried about all of us getting to cold. I don't know what the big deal was because my brothers, sisters and I thought it was great fun to race around the farm in all of that snow. I rolled in it too. One of the silly Horses, Smokey, was playing in the snow too, but he got a little carried away and pulled a muscle in his leg. Ms. Charlene had the horse doctor come out and look at him. Now Smokey has to take some medicine for a few days, but the doctor said he would be fine. I don't think he really minds taking his medicine because Ms. Charlene hides it in Molasses. I think that stuff smells funny, but he says it taste great. Well guess I better go for now. Talk more soon!

Hello From Mia and the Gang
Well it's been a week or so since I have up-dated you on stuff going on here at the ranch. We have been pretty busy around here.
Ms. Charlene went up to the big city (St. Louis) yesterday and they put her on TV to talk about me, my brothers and sisters and our book "Stories From Black Dog Ranch".
Ms. Charlene said it was a great opportunity to let people know about our book. She said they wanted me to be on TV too, but I didn't go. I can't seem to get use to riding in the truck.
Of course I would have loved giving all those wonderful people at Fox 2 TV a big slobbery kiss right in the nostril or eye or something, but I'm scared of the "truck monster".
Ms. Charlene said it was o.k., I'm just a little farm dog and we are going to work on the whole scary truck thing, a little at a time.......(I hope it's just to the end of the driveway for now).
Talk more soon,
Mia

Greetings From the Gang at Black Dog Ranch!
Well we are starting a brand new year at Black Dog Ranch and Mia has decided that she would like to share some of her stories of day to day life here at the ranch. She said that everyone would rather hear from her than Ms. Charlene (Kristie) so I guess that's the way it should be....
Hi, it's me Mia
It is the second day of a new year here at the ranch. It is nice outside today and my brothers and sisters and I have been very busy all morning trying to convince the horses that they would rather run around in the pasture while we chase after them than eat their hay that was delivered earlier this week. Ms. Charlene does not allow us to actually chase them in the pasture, (because somebody could get stepped on), so we run up and down the fence and bark and bark and bark. They don't seem to pay any attention to us after a couple of hundred barks.
Teddie went with Ms. Charlene this morning to the end of our driveway to replace our mailbox. Someone keeps knocking it down??? I think Teddie felt kind of bad because he didn't bark and scare the person who did it. Ms. Charlene told Teddie it was ok, she still loved him very much and told him he was still special.
Well I better go for now, this sunny day is making me sleepy. Talk to ya soon, Mia
